Topilas, Top Seller at 2015 Baden Wurttemberger Foal Auction in Riedlingen

Topilas, a chestnut colt by Topas x Swarovski x Silvio I, became the top seller of the 2015 Baden Wurttemberger Foal Auction held in Riedlingen, Germany, on 27 August 2015.

Bred by Monika Hoffer this colt sold for 16,000 euro to stallion owner Thomas Casper of Gestut Birkhof.  Casper also acquired the dark bay colt by Zalando for a mere 4,000 euro from breeder Nicola Langer.

The second most expensive foal at the auction was the liver chestnut Don Diamond x Sandro Hit colt, bred by Breeders Group Blessing. The colt sold to Westfaia for 12,000 euro.

The most expensive filly of the auction was a bay Feriado offspring, bred by Rupert Wiedemann. It sold to Berlin for 10,000 euro.

Only three foals sold for 10,000 euro or more. Forty-nine foals were offered up for auction and they achieved an average price of 4,793 euro.
