Jumper colt Unforgetable S and dressage colt Tophøjs Tebaldo became the price highlights of the 2015 Danish Warmblood elite Foal auction held after the annual Danish Warmblood Mare and Foal Show in Vilhelmsborg, Denmark, on 29 August 2015.
39 out of 53 auction foals changed ownership Saturday night at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal Auction and the event produced a turnover of 3,892,000 DKK, equalling 522,000 euro.
A knock-down price of 40,000 euro was the top amount paid for a foal at this auction. The show jumping colt Unforgetable S (by Untouchable x Cassini I), bred by Sally-Ann & Flemming Schultz, sold to a Danish buyer.
The same price was also paid for the 2015 Danish Dressage Colt Foal of the Year, Tophøjs Tebaldo (by Temptation x Don Romantic), bred by Anette Nilausen & Niels-Jørgen Johansen. He was purchased by Norwegian stallion owner and dressage enthusiast Kristin Andresen.
The 2015 Danish Warmblood Dressage Filly Foal of the Year, Schwarze Schwalbe Macohl (by Sezuan x Schwadroneur), bred by Frank Jensen and his son Thomas Bach Jensen, became the most expensive filly and sold for 35,000 euro to a Danish Grand Prix rider Helene Melsen.
The 39 foals attained an average price of 99,795 DKK (13,400 EUR) which is the highest average price to date at the Danish Warmblood Elite Foal
