Kavira became the price highlight of the 2015 KWPN Sell Foal Auction on Saturday 5 September 2015. The Franklin x Sorento offspring sold for 39,000 euro to Nicole Witte and Tim Collins.
The bay filly Kavira is bred by P Janssen from Overloon and comes from a dam line which has produced three Grand Prix horses so far: Miss Holland, Rampal and Westerstorm.
The second most expensive dressage foal was Kinetic SK (by Governor x D-Day) which sold for 13,000 euro. Filly Keira (by Don Juan de Hus x Don Schufro) sold for a knock down price of 11,500 euro. Kedorette SJD (by Governor x Oscar) switched owners for 8,000 euro.
The most expensive jumper foal was CC Rider S Z (by Codex One x Comme Il Faut), which sold to Egbert Schep for 14,000 euro. Schep also aqcuired the dressage colt Klasse Apart (by Furst Romancier x Jazz) in partnership with Nico Witte for 4,500 euro.
The average price for a foal at the 2015 SELL Foal Auction was slightly below 6,000 euro, which is a lower average than the year before.
