A nameless chestnut filly by For Romance x Don Diamond became the top selling foal at the 2015 Bavarian Elite Foal auction held at the Olympic stadium in Munich on 12 September 2015.
Bred by Tilman Foth, this filly sold for 9,500 euro to the Limbecker family.
The second most expensive foal was a filly by Topas x Weltmeyer, which sold for 9,000 euro.
Stallion owner Thomas Casper of Gestut Birkhof went shopping once again at this foal auction and acquired a jumper foal and a filly by Don Diamond x Lauries Crusador xx for 4,000 euro.
Gestut Sprehe purchased a colt by Destano x Samba Hit I for 4,500 euro and a ailly by Daily Deal x Stedinger for 4,000 euro.
A collection of 33 foals was auctioned and they achieved an average price of 4,601 euro, almost 400 euro less than at the edition in 2014.
