
The Trakehner licensed breeding stallions Ovaro and Oliver Twist have received the Elite status and will be honoured at the 2015 Trakehner Stallion Licensing this week.
Ovaro (by Hohenstein x Kostolany) is bred by Friedrich Hanning and has a breeding index of 131 points. Owned by Hofes Heitholm, Ovaro was competed by Karin Winter-Polac. The black was the best performing Trakehner at the 30-day stallion performance test in Schlieckau. He has sired two licensed sons (Iceman, Windsor) and produced several state premium mares, with Indian Queen successful at S-level dressage.
Oliver Twist (by Monteverdi x Sixtus) is bred by Ins Ruprecht and owned by Gestut Heinen-Issum. He was a premium stallion at the 2003 Licensing. He has sired five licensed sons, including Singolo, Heillinger, Home Park Kobalt, Sir Oliver and the Trakehner licensing champion Grand Passion, who competed at the 2011 World Young Horse Championships. Daughter Greta finished eighth at the German Mare Championships.
