The German breeding season is about to kick off and some of the last stallion licensings in the country are taking place in February. Dressage colts were not in favour in Munich-Riem, but in Prussendorf six were licensed.

At the 2016 German Sport Horse (DSP) late licensing in Munich-Riem on 18 February, thirteen stallions were entered, eleven showed up, three jumpers were licensed and one was approved. All presented dressage bred stallions were rejected. (see the list here)

Earlier in February the Mid German Winter Stallion Licensing took place at the Sachsen-Anhalt State Stud in Prussendorf. Eight of the twenty-two presented stallions were approved to breeding. Six of them were dressage bred and all were registered with different breed societies.
