2016 CDI Hagen

(Hagen a.T.W.) Every year in late April the Kasselmann family charms 65,000 visitors to the 14,000 inhabitants city Hagen at the Teutoburg Forest in the district of Osnabrück in Germany. Then it's time to open the outdoor season in equestrian sport and time to get to know a new host country with all its facets and curiosities.

The 2016 event takes us to our neighboring country, the Kingdom of Denmark in northern Europe. “Horses & Dreams meets Denmark” will be the headline from April 20 – 24 at Hof Kasselmann, anticipated with joy by the sister of the Danish Queen and patronesse, HRH Princess Benedikte of Denmark, as well as dressage coordinator Dr. Ulf Möller and Organizer and Host Ullrich Kasselmann.

Sport successes on horse’s back have a long tradition in Denmark, and the royal family loves equestrian sports, too. Danish dressage riders such as Anna Kasprzak, Lars Petersen and HRH Princess Nathalie zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg or show jumping rider Sören Pedersen are well-known representatives of their country. All of them have already competed at Horses & Dreams and know about the excellent conditions at the Hof Kasselmann in the Osnabrück area.

The host country was a true horse country with a long tradition and was to send at the same time strong competitors to Hagen, as the Organizers know and are looking forward to exciting sport with lots of representatives from Denmark at the CDI4*/CSI4* Hagen.

By the way: The Danish word for „thanks“ is “tak”, used by the Danish people thousands of times a day. Besides, Denmark is one of the most child-friendly countries of the world and a popular holiday destination in Germany. Best prospects for an equestrian festival with a particularly welcoming atmosphere.
