Finnigan and Ben Benicio, Winners of the 2016 14-Day Stallion Performance Testings

The 3-year old Hanoverian Finnigin became the winner of the 14-day Stallion Performance Testing in Neustadt/Dosse, while the 3-year old Westfalian Ben Benicio was the high scorer at the 14-day testing in Adelheidsdorf. Both testings took place from 1 - 14 April 2016.

In Neustadt/Dosse, the Hanoverian Finnigan (by Floriscount x Don Schufro x Rubinstein) scored a total of 8.35 points. Bred by Cordula Mohr and owned by the State Stud Celle, Finnigan scored 8.96 for dressage and 7.23 for show jumping. The stallion got the same amount of high points as the 3-year old Holsteiner jumper stallion Cantesini (by Cascadello x Cassini x Landadel).

The second highest scoring dressage bred stallion in Neustadt/Dosse was the Oldenburg bred Fair Game (by Furst Wilhelm x Ron William x Donnerhall), owned by Gestut Birkhof. He scored a total of 8.3 with 8.25 for dressage and 8.08 for show jumping.  Thirty-two stallions participated and four didn't make the finish line.

At the 14-day testing in Adelheidsdorf the 3-year old Westfalian Ben Benicio (by Benicio x Hochadel) became the top scoring stallion with a total of 8.43 points. He got 8.85 points for dressage and 7.60 for show jumping. The jumper bred Baldessarini (by Balous Bellini) was the second highest scoring stallion with a total of 8.30.

The dressage bred Bon Amour Cuivre (by Benetton Dream) was third with 8.23 in total. The 3-year old D'Egalité (by Don Juan de Hus x Stedinger), who was 2015 Westfalian Licensing champion and which sold for 620,000 euro to Gestut Bonhomme, scored a total of 7.23 points with an 8.13 for dressage and a 5.98 for show jumping.
