
The 2016 SELL KWPN Foal Auction in Asten, The Netherlands, on 6 September 2016 had two price highlights which both sold for 24,000 euro. The fillies Lafeniz Texel and Lacieta S were the best sellers.
Texel breeder Wim van der Linde has been offering his foals for sale at various KWPN Foal auctions in the north of The Netherlands this summer with Texel foals on offer week after week and fetching good prices. His filly Lafeniz Texel (by Henkie x Negro) sold for 24,000 euro, while his colt Last Night Texel (by Glamourdale x Voltaire) sold for 9,000 euro. Jacques and Saskia Lemmensof R2 dressage bought Lafeniz after already purchasing Iveniz Texel (by Negro) for the top price at another auction.
Filly Lacieta S (by Negro x Vivaldi) sold for 24,000 euro to Indian Mallika Shankar who lives in Great Britain.
Six foals sold for more than 20,000 euro at this auction. The second most expensive foals were jumper colt Enelzkey SR (by Eldorado van de Zeshoek) and dressage colt Livingstone (by Grand Galaxy Win T x Furst Romancier) which both sold for 23,000 euro. Livingstone was acquired by a sponsor of Laurens van Lieren.
Louis ter Kwincke (by Easy Game x Damon Hill) switched owners for 21,000 euro. Jumper filly Heaven (by Hermantico x Carthago Z) moves to the UK for 20,000 euro.
Dutch horse dealer Egbert Schep acquired six foals, including Leonardo da Silicia (by Millennium x Belissimo M) which he bought in partnership with Nico Witte for 9,000 euro. He acquired Liberty (by Ferguson x Jazz) in partnership with Jos Althuyzen for 6,000 euro
The average price for a foal at this auction was 7,200 euro.
