Legend, Best Seller at 2016 Midden-Nederland KWPN Foal Auction

The colt Legend became the top seller at the 2016 Midden-Nederland KWPN Foal auction held at equestrian centre De Nieuwe Heuvel in Lunteren, The Netherlands, on Wednesday 7 September 2016.

The hammer struck at 27,000 euro for Legend (by El Capone x Painted Black), who is bred by T.B. Hassink.

The second most expensive foal was colt Leonardo AF (by Desperado x Florencio), bred by L. van Aaken. He sold for 26,000 euro. German buyers acquired LaBarron, a colt by For Romance x Tuschinski, bred by L.M. Bergers, for 24,000 euro.

The most expensive filly was Lufradin (by Franklin x Gribaldi) which sold for 16,000 euro. The black filly Luxurity (by Grand Galaxy Win T x De Niro) found new owners for 15,000 euro.  Laya Omie (by Furst Romancier) switched owners for 11,000 euro. Lavendel Rose (by Spielberg) and Lady Love (by Ferro) both sold for 10,000 to the same buyer.

Finnish and Dutch clients held a bidding duel for colt Levinus (by Dream Boy x Gribaldi) but he will stay in Holland for 13,000 euro. Colt Lucardo D'N Hop (by Toto Jr x Jazz) sold for 10,000 euro.

The average price for a foal at this auction was 8,050 euro. Sixty sport horse foals and five Friesian foals were auctioned by Johan Wilmink.
