Estonian Grand Prix rider Grete Puvi has retired her number one Grand Prix horse Talent from competition. The 16-year old mare will continue to be lightly ridden at her owner's place, but will no longer be used for top level competition sport.
Talent is a Dutch warmblood mare, bred by A. Houtman-Dijkstra. She is by Lennard out of Kelly (by Voltaire) and is owned by the French Anne Chrystelle des Moutis.
Talent made her international break through under French rider Bernard Bosseaux who made his CDI Grand Prix debut at the 2011 CDIO Saumur. The bay mare was not competed internationally from 2012 till 2014 and returned to the arena under Grete Puvi in March 2014.
Puvi and Talent showed consistently for three years and participated at shows such as Vidauban, Compiegne, Nice, Caen, Hagen, Lipica, Treffen, Brno, Jerez de la Frontera, and Saumur. Their final CDI compteition was in Nice last August, where the pair finished second in the Kur to Music with 69.850%.
"Happy retirement Talent," Puvi stated. "Thank you for everything you did for me! Such a kind horse who always gives her best! You will always stay in our
hearts."
The Nice based Puvi will continue her GP career aboard the 11-year old Dutch warmblood Aleandro (by Sandreo x Ferro).
