The German Equestrian Federation has published the updated A-squads of the youth team riders for the 2017 show season. A far amount of riders have been dropped from their original squad because they have crossed the age limit.
A new face on the German Young Riders squad is Lisa Breimann, who has made her young riders debut in 2016 and only done one CDI's so far at that level. Aboard the 11-year old Oldenburg mare Aida Luna (by Rousseau x Royal Angelo I), she contested the 2016 CDIO Saumur in France, but she also competed at the Preis der Besten and grabbed the attention of the selectors at the 2016 German Young Riders Championships, where she finished fifth.
Cornelia Endres is the German pony team trainer while Hans-Heinrich Meyer zu Strohen is the team coach for children, junior and young riders.
