Trakehner fans annually gather at the Westfalian headquarters for the Trakehner Spring Stallion Licensing and Show in Munster-Handorf. This year the show took place for the 19th time on 11 February 2016. The stands were well filled and twenty-eight licensed stallions were presented in hand, in freedom and under saddle.

The two newly approved colts Freiherr von Stein (by Millennium x Perechlest) and the English thoroughbred Mount Etna xx (by Mister Baileys xx), which were licensed earlier in the day, also showed off their training level and quality of gaits under saddle in the afternoon.

The show included young licensing champions, reserve champions and premium stallions, including the 2016 champion His Moment, the 2015 champion Perpignan Noir and the 2014 champion Sir Sansibar. Other younglings that were there include Zauberreigen, High Five, First Sight, Deinheart, Helium and Ivanhoe. Sir Samao was also at the show, but he lost his licensed status that same weekend, by not scoring above the minimum criterium in the sport test.

The more experienced stallions Herakles, Schwarzgold, Durrenmatt and Millennium gave an acte de presence. Said ox and Lucarelli xx were representatives of the specialty blood.
