Alain Rauw, chef d'equipe of the Belgian youth riders, has announced the updated youth teams for 2017. The Belgian equestrian federation has also approved new criteria to get submitted to the squads and for team selection.
The qualification criteria to compete at a CDI has been changed from two times 64% to two times 66% at a CDN.
The new squad criteria are 3 times over 69% (CDI or CDN) for the A-team, 3 times over 67% at a CDI or CDN for the B-team and 3 times over 66% at a CDI or CDN for the C-team.
Eight competitions have been marked as CDI observation events before the 2017 European Pony, Junior and Young Riders Championships this summer. They are the CDI's in Lier, Nieuw en St. Joosland, Sint Truiden, Saumur, Compiegne, Roosendaal, Diepenbeek and the Belgian Championships in Hulsterlo.
