Camino Royal, Taxman and Very Fair Win the 2017 Swedish Young Pony Championships

2017 Swedish Young Pony Championships

The 4-year old Camino Royal, the 5-year old Taxman, and the 6-year old Very Fair became the winners of the 2017 Swedish Young Pony Championships held at the Gums Riding Club in Hammaro, Sweden on 17 - 18 June 2017. The Swedish young pony nationals coincided with the Championships for FEI Pony level riders.

In the 4-year old division Moa Sundelof booked a double victory on the Westfalian geldoing Camino Royal, who was previousy named Clooney N (by FS Cracker Jack x Courage). The pair scored the winning marks of 81.6 and 80.6 to total 162.2 points for gold. Ebba Rindmo and the Swedish bred Hamiltons Right on Time (by Dunhill S x Verona's Bo-Gi) earned silver after placing third (77.0) and second (77.4). Agnes Blomkvist and Pytt Hamberg's mare Oh Hooray! (by FS Daddy Cool x Derbino B) got bronze with 76.0 and 76.2.

In the 5-year old age category Jasmine Jacobs rode the Swedish stallion Taxman (by Weltman x Lodor Tywysog Nudd) to victory after winning both rounds with 77.8 and 79.2 points. Taxman is owned by the company AB Novitus. Felicia Bermar Vistedt and Evajo AB's gelding Heaven's On Fire (by FS Don't Worry x Verona's Gerswin) got silver with 73.6 and 73.2 points. Alice Urhagen and Sofia Sjolin's Welsh pony gelding Sweet Homes Big Bang (by Hilkens Black Delight x Cennen Schubert) earned bronze with 70.8 and 72.9 points.

Mai Stensson and Maria Carlsson's Swedish bred stallion Very Fair (by Vermont x Warnanas Ulrik) won the 6-year old division with a total of 158.2 points. The combination placed second in the first round with 79.2 and won the second round with 79.0. The silver medal went to Kelly Nilsson aboard the Swediush bred gelding Ditooh (by Stendyssen's Diablo x Chess) on a total of 157.8 points. They were fourth in round 1 (76.2) and won round 2 (81.6). Kajsa Fransson and Theresa Nilsson's mare Rosdala Minerva (by Top Nonstop x Vermont) were good for bronze after winning round 1 (79.6) and placing third in round 2 (77.4). They totalled 157.0 points.
