German pony team trainer Cornelia Endres will have to seek a new base for her business now that Patrik Kittel and Lyndal Oatley have acquired stable Eulenhof in Dülmen, Germany.
Eulenhof is a 13 hectare property with a main house and stable building that includes an indoor arena and 38 stalls. It was the home base of Connie Endres and her late husband, former show jumping rider Franz Rosendahl, who succumbed to cancer last June.
The couple had a 20-year lease on the property till 2020, even though the owner of the estate put the yard up for sale in 2016 for almost 3 million euro.
On 26 October 2017 Kittel and Oatley announced that they have purchased Eulenhof, but the property needs to undergo serious renovations which will take up one year. Endres agreed to end the lease of the yard prematurely and has been given four months to quietly look for a new location.
In an interview with St. Georg magazine Endres talked about her move. "Where it will be I cannot say. I'm looking into a few options. In any case I will stay in the neighbourhood of Warendorf," she explained.
Connie owns three horses of her own. The other 35 horses at Eulenhof were there in livery. "One of the options is that I just find something just for myself and then drive around for training," said Connie. "I will know more in four weeks."
