The 2015 Trakehner Licensing Champion Perpignan Noir has moved in training with German Olympian Anabel Balkenhol. The 4-year old moved to Rosendahl two months ago.
"He has already settled in wonderfully and enjoys his new home," Perpignan Noir's owner Dominik Hartl told Eurodressage. "We think it is a good move for Perpignan Noir as Anabel and her father will manage him in a gentle way we like to see horses trained. We will now see how they will develop but we definitely want to see him healthy and successful in his later years. He is still very young and needs his time. So no pressure and big show plans."
"First of all we will get used to each other," Anabel Balkenhol added. "There’s no shows planned so far."
Perpignan Noir is bred by Konig and Meier from Dautphetal in Hessia, Germany and is by Schwarzgold out of Parade Go (by Maizauber). He was acquired as a foal by Swis Adrian Gasser who presented the stallion at the licensing.
The Austrian duo Karl Ochsner and Dominik Hartl bought the champion at the auction for 340,000 euro, but kept him in Germany in training with Ralf Kornprobst.
Perpignan Noir did his stallion sport test in March 2017 in Munich and his 14-day suitability test in Marbach one month later. The black has not yet been competed.
