Portuguese based Italian junior rider Melanie Bartz has acquired Bernadette Brune's Diary Dream OLD.

Diary Dream OLD is a 12-year old Oldenburg gelding by Duino out of Feine Rubina (by Rubinstein). He is bred by Hans Albers.

Under Heiko Klausing the gelding won silver as a 3-year old at the 2010 Bundeschampionate. Brune acquired the bay at the 2010 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction a month later for 90,000 euro.

Brune initially kept the ride with Klausing, who finished 16th in the first round for 4-year old riding horses at the 2011 Bundeschampionate.

The stallion then moved to Berndatte's French base, Domaine Equestres des Grand Pins in Vidauban, where Belgian Jef Coenegrachts took on the ride. He competed the horse at the CDI in Vidauban in 2012. In 2013 Spanish Jaime Amian showed the then 6-year old horse in the CDI.

After a two-year break from competition spent i training with Udo Lange, Diary Dream returned with Jef Coenegracht on board and competed in Germany at one show in Wingst.

Two years later Brune made her show debut on Diary Dream at international small tour level. They competed at the 2017 CDI's in Hagen, Munich, Aachen, Crozet and Darmstadt, recording to wins. In 2018 the pair did two CDi's in Aachen and Crozet. The latter show was the pair's last.

Junior rider Melanie Bartz will now continue the show career of Diary Dream. Since 2017 Bartz has been competing the 11-year old KWPN gelding Delgado (by Oscar x Sandro Hit) at international junior riders' level on the Iberian peninsula. She was Italian team reserve for the 2018 European JR Championships.
