Bricot, Miller, Neuhof Nominated for the 2019 Silver Camera Award

Christophe Bricot, Terri Miller, and Ashley Neuhof (USA) have been nominated as the three finalists for the 2019 Silver Camera Award.

The Silver Camera Award annually honours the best equestrian sport photograph of the year.

In an era when countless photos are created per smartphone within the shortest space of time, it is worthwhile taking an even closer look at really good photographs. The CHIO Aachen organiser, the Aachen-Laurensberger Rennverein e.V. (ALRV), doesn’t just examine them, every year the ALRV also confers the “Silver Camera” for the best international equestrian sport photo of the year.

The composition of the jury also clearly underlines how international the prize is. This year Janika Sprunger (show-jumper, Switzerland), Henrik von Eckermann (show-jumper, Sweden), Eric Knoll (photographer and last year’s winner, France), Andreas Müller (Managing Director of Medienhaus Aachen, Germany) and the ALRV Chairman and CHIO Aachen Show Director, Frank Kemperman (the Netherlands) have selected the winner and the runners-up.

“The decision process was very difficult for us. The quality of the submitted entries is incredibly high,” stated Frank Kemperman regarding the 103 photographs submitted.

On Saturday evening 20 July 2019 the winner will be announced in the Main Stadium. The winner receives prize-money to the value of 2,500 Euros, second place is endowed with 1,000 Euros and third place wins 500 Euros.
