German Grand Prix rider Stella Charlott Roth got injured in a riding accident and will be sidelined for at least six weeks.
On 13 November 2019, three days after her 30th birthday, Roth was thrown by a horse and had to be transported to the hospital in Warendorf.
She was diagnosed with her pelvis fractured in three places and has to stay fairly immobile for the next six weeks.
"It wasn't Friday the 13th but Wednesday the 13, when I got thrown in a high arc from the tallest horse in the barn," the rider quipped. "The diagnosis was shocking as I'll have to keep my feet still for six weeks."
Two days after the fall she was able to take her first steps with cruches.
"I'll give it my all to be back in the saddle as fast as possible," said a motivated Stella.
Roth runs her own private training stable in Vechta, Germany. She last competed internationally with Rubin Action in May 2018 at the CDI Aachen.
