Four older dressage stallions out of eight presented were accepted for breeding at the 2020 Hanoverian Stallion Approval on Tuesday 28 January 2020.
Accepted were Dodo Weihgang, V-Plus, Vainqueur, and Quaterman II.
The Oldenburg reserve licensing stallion and WFFS positive 4-year old colt Dodo Weihgand (by Diamond x Furst Heinrich) is owned by Isabell Werth's sponsor Madeleine Winter-Schulze. The 6-year old Hanoverian V-Plus (by Vivaldi x Furst Romancier) is owned by American Leslie Malone of Harmony Sport Horses, who bought him for 1.2 million euro at the 2018 PSI Auction. The stallion competed under Susan Pape at the 2019 World Young Horse Championship but stranded in the consolation finals on place 14. The 7-year old Hanoverian bred Vainqueur (by Vivaldi x Rubioso N) is owned by Gut Neuenhof and trained by Hubertus Schmidt.
The 15-year old Brandenburger bred Quaterman II (by Quando-Quando x Roccodero) is competed at small tour level. He was approved for Rhinelander breeding.
Rejected were Swedish Hanna Morrison's Bordeaux (by Bon Coeur x Locksley II), Guido Winkmann's Black and White Bordeaux (by Bordeaux x Rohdiamant), and Anja Gutschmidt's 4-year old Viotti (by Vivaldi x Donnerhall) as well as her 6-year old Hanoverian Flying Scotchman (by Furst Romancier x Londonderry).
