Thamar Zweistra's second Grand Prix horse, Hexagon's Conquest, has been sold to Japan.
Conquest is a 13-year old KWPN gelding by Rubiquil out of the Belgian warmblood mare Santa Maria van de Zuuthoeve (by Weltmeyer II x Picasso de Lauzelle). He was owned by Leunis van Lieren and E. Janse.
The chestnut made its international show debut in 2013 competing as a 6-year old at junior level with Jeanine Nieuwenhuis. The pair rode at two CDI's in Addington and Roosendaal.
In August 2016 Dinja van Liere steered Conquest to his Grand Prix debut at national level. The horse was put up for sale after this debut.
His international come back was in June 2017 under Thamar Zweistra, four years after Nieuwenhuis had first campaigned him.
Zweistra and Conquest did their first CDI in Pompadour, but it was not very successful. The first two year Zweistra was not able to post scores higher than the low sixties in the Grand Prix with the gelding.
However, after a year break from CDI's they came back at the CDI Falstebo and achieved their first Grand Prix test score above 65%, i.e. 66.261%. At national level his scores were up to 69%.
Conquest will now continue his sport career in Japan.
