ANCCE, the Spanish PRE breed association, has changed the dates of its annual SICAB, the World Championships for PRE horses in breeding and showing.
Due to corona, 2020 SICAB will be held over two weeks: 7 - 11 October and 13 - 18 October 2020.
"ANCCE is well aware of its responsibility as an Association. Therefore, it is implementing brave and committed measures for the sector while working to maintain the focus on the Purebred Spanish Horse as a breed and its commercial impact," ANCCE stated. The new dates are confirmed, "unless last minute unexpected health concerns change the plans."
SICAB takes place in Sevilla, Spain. This year’s project includes a number of outstanding measures such as not having breeder stands and no show.
"This will facilitate “social distancing” and avoid crowds. October has been chosen to hold the event in an effort to avoid the flu season; access will be free of charge, based on the capacity of the Fair Grounds (FIBES)," said ANCCE.
At this year’s edition, FIBES Fair Grounds Pavilions 1 and 2, together with the surrounding exterior surface area will be used for the event.
"For professionals and participants, there will be a special entry, with preference being granted to them before maximum capacity as established by the authorities has been reached," ANCCE added.
