Bidding Starts Coming Friday for Second Prinsjesdag Online Foal Auction of 2020

Promising company of foal in 2nd online auction Prinsjesdag on 21 July 2020

From this Friday 17 July at 12:00PM, bids can be made for the ten jumping and seven dressage foals that together form the promising collection of the second online auction of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. On behalf of the selection committees, Jacques Verkerk and Fred van Straaten express their confidence in this promising company of foals.

On Tuesday the 21rd of July, the foals will be auctioned live from 7:30 PM and this online auction can be followed via ClipMyHorse and the livestream on the Prinsjesdag Foal Auction website. You can register to participate in this auction via this link.

Dressage foals

“We were able to select seven dressage foals with very varied bloodlines for this July auction,” says Jacques Verkerk, who is responsible for the dressage selection together with Lauw van Vliet.

“They are all foals with a great future ahead of them. Like the Blue Hors Zackerey daughter Pursuit of Happiness, who moves with just as much power in the hind leg as her sire and she received a premium at the online Blue Hors foal championship. Also a very spectacular moving filly is the powerful moving Le Formidable daughter Pendilia SIH. The filly Piacenza G is perhaps the most beautiful Jameson RS2 foal of the entire season and she moves with a very good technique. A very athletic foal is the light-footed, uphill-moving Fürstenball daughter Pyria SC. The fifth filly from this collection is Petronella van de Moerhoek, a well-developed daughter of Lennox U.S. who moves with a lot of front and strength.”

The colts Patser Buitenrust (s.Glock’s Toto Jr.) and Panamera (s.Imposantos) complete the collection. “The Toto Jr. son is a very complete colt with a really good way of moving, a lot of power and he comes from a good sport line. Panamera was bred from the full sister of High Five U.S. and has three good gaits and moves with great ease.”

Jumping foals

Fred van Straaten is also delighted with the jumping collection. “Of course the pedigree is important for the jumping foals, but the foal itself must also meet the highest requirements and be athletic. We are very happy to have a striking colt out of the first year of the top performing stallion All Star 5, which has a good canter and damline. Prime Minister, a son of Camargo out of a solid damline, is also a striking foal.

Udarcaheart-M offers the opportunity to purchase one of the last modern Darco daughters. The Diamant de Semilly daughter Pearle W has a granddam and great-granddam who both already delivered Grand Prix showjumpers and is therefore interesting for sport and breeding”, sums Van Straaten up. “That certainly also applies to Perla AASJ, a daughter of Diarado with the famous mare Fragance de Chalus in the third generation. A striking colt is the from the successful Diaron descending DC Balou, which is related to a lot of good showjumpers on the dam’s side. Then we have F-Marit VHS Z, a daughter of Falaise de Muze out of the full sister of the Grand Prix stallion Zèlote VDL.

The colt Joker Z descends from the breeding stallion-in-the-making Jenson van ‘t Meulenhof and goes in the third generation back to the Grand Prix mare Sea Coast Ferly. A very special foal is the blood-made, well-cantering Leandro VG son Ulandro Touch JT and with an extremely proven pedigree, the athletic Verdi son Picolot W also has a great future.”

Online auction

From Friday the 17th of July, the online clock auction starts via the WeAuction auction system. The auction will go live on Tuesday the 21st of Jule at 7.30 pm, where Peter van der Waaij will receive the last bids live in the studio. As an auctioneer he will sell the foals on behalf of Foal Auction Prinsjesdag. The live online auction of the dressage foals will start thereafter. On the website all the information, videos and photos can be found. In addition, because it is an online auction, also footage has been made of the veterinary examination and, of course, the reports can be consulted on the website. Interested parties can register on the website until the 21st of July to gain access to the bidding system.
