The Grand Prix mare Endy BH became the top seller of the Black Horses Auction on 1 August 2020 and will continue her sports career with a Belgian rider.
The online auction of Black Horses Stud can be put into the books with a 100% score, as all 40 auction horses were sold to 11 different countries.
Jan Vink's company Black Horses purchased the dressage horses from renowned, KWPN breeder Huub van Helvoirt before he passed away. Vink now decided to call his dressage program quits and focus on show jumping. His entire dressage collection, based on Van Helvoirt's blood lines, were offered for sale.
"It all went outstanding," says Jan Vink afterwards. "The whole team worked great and put in lots of effort. Everyone was enthusiastic."
The 11-year old Grand Prix level competed Endy BH (by De Niro out of KWPN Mare Champion Andy) sold to the Belgian Under 25 rider Laura Luyten for 53,000 euro.
The second most expensive horse was the 3-year old KWPN stallion Most Loved BH (by Indian Rock x Briar) which sold to Estonian horse investor Karim Barake for 30,000 euro.
Dutch clients purchased the 6-year old mare Jazzperendy O (by Desperado x Jazz) for 26,000 euro and the Prix St Georges level trained Dendy (by Jazz x Ulft) for 21,000 euro. The 3-year old mare Mi Rocka BH (by Indian Rock x Sir Donnerhall) will stay in Holland for 20,000 euro. The same price was paid for the 9-year old mare Gina (by Lord Leatherdale x Negro).
The colt Momance BH (by For Romance I out of the half-sister of Olympic champion Desperados FRH) sold to Lithuania for 19,000 euros.
The collection included 5 broodmares. The top price for a broodmare was 12,000 euro. It was paid for Forsytha (by Sir Donnerhall x Ferro).
Buyers from India, Canada, Sweden, Australia, Germany, the United Kingdom and Denmark also successfully purchased a horse in the online auction.
