Danish pony team rider Liva Addy Guldager Nielsen has found the horse that will take her to junior riders' level in 2021: Don Caballero.

Don Caballero is an 8-year old Danish warmblood gelding by Blue Hors Don Olymbrio out of Dolcivita (by Blue Hors Don Schufro). He is bred by Jytte Strangholt and Kurt Nørskov.

The liver chestnut has only been very lightly competed by his previous rider and trainer, Carina Cassøe Krüth. The pair made its national show debut at L-level in 2017 with three starts that year. He returned to the arena three years later, in July 2020, with a second and third place at M-level at the national show in Hjallerup.

Coached by Carina Nevermann Torup, the 16-year old Liva Addy Guldager Nielsen won team gold and double silver at the 2019 European Pony Championships in Strzegom, Poland. A few weeks later Nielsen also became the Danish Pony Champion.

She will ride her last Europeans in two weeks time when she heads with her pony D'artagnan to the 2020 European Pony Championships in Budapest.
