The 5-year old Shockwave and the 6-year old Expression became the winners of the Bundeschampionate qualification classes held at the 2021 Weser Ems Regional Championships in Cloppenburg on 24 June 2021.
5-YO: Shockwave
Thirteen combinations rode the L-level dressage horse test for 5-year olds, which was judged by Norbert Giesecke, Jürgen Uthoff, and Carola Straube-Thiel.
Austrian Manuel Springhetti rode Blue Moon Sporthorses' Oldenburg gelding Shockwave (by Santo Domingo x Donnerschwee) into the winner's circle with an 8.3 total score. The chestnut gelding earned 7.5 for walk, and 8.5 for trot, canter, submission and general impression.
Kira Wulferding and Gerrit Collin's Oldenburg gelding Mc Queen (by Morricone x San Amour) were following in second place closely with 8.2. The black gelding received 8.5 for walk and trot, 8 for canter, 7.5 for submission and 8.5 for general impression.
6-YO: Expression
The M-level dressage horse test for 6-year olds was judged by Jürgen Uthoff, Hermann Steffens, and Heinrich Koonert and eleven pairs contested the class.
Andrea Winkeler (née Muller-Kersten) and the Westfalian stallion Expression (by Ehrenstolz x Basic) were the high scorers and took home the trophy with an 8.0 total score, the sole pair to achieve the Warendorf qualification criterium in this class. Owned by Belgian Elisabeth Tepper, the bay stallion received 8 for walk and canter, 8.5 for trot, 7.5 for submission and 8 for general impression.
Kristin Biermann and Gestut Sprehe's Oldenburg stallion Delano (by Diamond Hit x Fielmann) were the runners-up with 7.7. The dark bay got 8.5 for walk, 7.5 for trot, 8 for canter, 7 for submission and 7.5 for general impression.
