The German Equestrian Federation is holding its first of two selection trials for the 2022 World Young Horse Championships at the DOKR headquarters in Warendorf on 11 - 13 July 2022.
On the first two days the selectors saw the 5-year old candidates in training (11 July) and ride the preliminary test (12 July). Based on those two rounds, the selectors picked a group of 5-year olds which are eligible to re-present themselves at the second selection trial on 16 - 17 August 202.

No less than 46 five-year old horses were presented and 16 made the cut. Eleven of them are stallions, three are mares, and two geldings. The best represented sire is Morricone (by Millennium x Rubin Royal) with three direct offspring selected.
