French Horses Selected for 2022 World Young Horse Championships

The French delegation for the 2022 World Championships for young dressage horses in Ermelo is known. 

The selection of the French horses is done by two separate federations. The 5 and 6-year olds are chosen by the "Société Hippique Française" (SHF), while the 7-year olds are picked by the French Equestrian Federation (FFE).

A group of 11 combinations spent a two-day training and selection trial in Saumur from which the 5 and 6-year olds were picked. They are

5-year olds

  • Victor Brua on Berlioz LH (HANN, by Bon Coeur x De Niro)

6-year olds

  • Nicolas Commenge on Legend Dancarino (FWB, by Dante Weltino x Rotspon)
  • Claudia Chauchard on Apachi van de Biebosschen (OLD, by Apache x Don Frederico)

The reserve is Elsa Maulet on Louis Jiva (WESTF, by Libertad x Don Crusador) or Bellini Jiva (HANN, by Benicio x Scolari)

The French Equestrian Federation selected two 7-year olds

7-year olds

  • Mathieu Belville on Fragolino du Parc (SF, Don Juan de Hus x Sandro Hit)
  • Charlotte Chalvignac on Friedrich Schiller (HANN, by Finest x Desperados)
