After an extraordinarily successful year 2022 with Glamourdale becoming World Dressage Champion and Kentjo World Young Horse Champion, Van Olst Horses kicks off 2023 with its first auction of the season, "The Young Ones 2023."
Gert-Jan van Olst opens his treasure chest and hand picked a capsule collection of coming 3-year olds which have just been brought in to start their saddle breaking and first training.
Two of the horses are 4-year old young stars already showing their quality under saddle. One of them is licensed for the Westfalian society.
Online bidding starts on 10 February and closes on 13 February 2023.
The Young Ones
The collection includes 11 carefully selected, rising 3-year old geldings with the best pedigrees as well as two under saddle 4-year olds.
This is your chance to purchase a future star sired by a Van Olst stallion and/or carefully reared and handled at the yard in Den Hout, The Netherlands. The full history of these horses is known.
"We want to give clients an opportunity to buy a special young horse out of the Van Olst Horses breeding programme," said Gert-Jan van Olst. "The majority of the horses have been handled for a few weeks, but other than that are still completely green."
Two of these young stars already excite under saddle like, for instance, stallion Fabiano (by For Romance x Diamond Hit x Matcho AA). He is already Westfalian licensed and the KWPN has invited him for the performance test and still has every opportunity to be approved.
The 4-year old gelding Goliath (by Gladiator x Obelisk x Uniform) was NRPS licensed and has Glamourdale as grandsire.
Top Pedigrees
Four of the rising 3-year olds are sired by double young horse world champion Kjento and four are by Grand Prix world champion Glamourdale. The collection further includes offspring by George Clooney and Lantanas.
Catalog nr 4, Pico Bello, is by George Clooney and out of a Jazz x Negro dam. He has a modern, sporty conformation and an outstanding hind leg that is powerful and always engaged under the body.
The complete collection is online with photos, videos, and their vetting report
