The French equestrian federation has announced the team of riders that will represent France at the 2023 European Para Dressage Championships in Riesenbeck (GER) on 3 - 9 September 2023.
France is sending a team of four riders:
- Lisa Cez on Stallone De Hus
- Anne-frédérique Royon on Quaterboy Lh
- Vladimir Vinchon on Pégase Mayenne
- Chiara Zenati on Swing Royal
No reserve pair has been named.
The team will be assisted by Fanny Delaval, the technical director for para dressage.
"It's a selection based on the results of the season," said Delaval. "Chiara and Vladimir are unavoidable this year again and stand out as the pillars of this French team. Then we chose Lisa and Anne-Frédérique who seem to us to be the best teammates to support Chiara and Vladimir. We think this team is strong enough to go for a top 6 in the European championship. We don't need to qualify for the Paralympic Games, but we want to compete as if we were to qualify. For the individual, we will have to wait to see the composition of the competing teams in the different grades. This championship is an important step towards Paris 2024, a real collective meeting both for the athletes and for the staff as a whole."
