Fürst became the price highlight of the 2023 Klosterhof Medingen auction which was held on 23 September 2023.
A collection of 20 sport horses was on offer, but four dropped out before the auction. Thirty-two foals were originally listed for sale but 29 appeared at the auction.
The 3-year old Hanoverian gelding Fürst (by Furst Romancier x Sandro Hit) fetched a top hammer price of 250,000 euro and will stay in Germany. He sold to Emma Kanerva's sponsor Gerd Soborowski.
The second most expensive horse in the collection was Bellini (by Borsalino x Stedinger), which sold for 150,000 euro to Nordrhine-Westfalia. Two horses sold for 130,000 euro: Tik Tok (by Toto Jr x Flemmingh) and Bossa Nova (by Borsalino x Don Index). The Dutch bred Tik Tok moves to The Netherlands, just like Belcanto (by Borsalino x Quantensprung) for 35,000 euro.
Miss Moneypenny (by Marc Cain x Poleggio) made 122,000 euro and sold to a buyer from Hamburg. Also moving to Hamburg is Benks (by Borsalino x Dancier) for 80,000 euro.
Swiss clients bought La Mancha (by La Vie x Don Frederico) for 40,000 euro, while Austrians purchased Best of Luck (by Borsalino x Laurentio) for 50,000 euro and Quilano (by Q-Sieben x Distelzar) for 24,000 euro.
The most expensive foal of the collection was Starchaser (by St. Emilion x San Amour which sold to Germans for 50,000 euro. Snoopy (by St. Emilon x Don K) moves to Holstein for 42,000 euro, just like Saphira (by St. Emilion x Furstenball) for 25,000 euro. E-Power (by Escaneno x Vitalis) fetched 20,500 euro.
A Dutch buyer bought Sauvignon (by St. Emilion x Quantensprung) for 18,000 euro, while an American secured St Pauli (by St. Emilion x Quattro B) for 14,000 euro. A French customer paid 8,500 euro for So Cute (by St. Emilion x Furst Belissaro) and an Austrian secured Sergio Rossi (by St. Emilion x Le Rouge) for 6,000 euro.
