After finishing with bronze on the podium at the 2024 German Dressage Championships, Ingrid Klimke has decided to go full focus on German Olympic dressage team selection and has withdrawn from the eventing CCI in Luhmühlen.

German eventing website Buschreiter.de reported that Ingrid has cancelled her entry with eventing horses Asha P and Siena for the CCI, which also count as the German eventing championships.

Buschreiter stated that this decision was made "on the orders of the national dressage coach" (Monica Theodorescu). St. Georg posted that this has been a "recommendation of the dressage selection committee of the DOKR."

Klimke has been selected to ride Franziskus (by Fidertanz x Alabaster) in the second and last German Olympic team selection trial at the 2024 CDIO Aachen on 4 - 7 July 2024.

Klimke could be heading to her sixth Olympics in Paris. The five previous Games she always competed in eventing. Ingrid will be back focusing on eventing after Paris. "My heart belongs too much with eventing," she told St. Georg.
