Helgstrand Dressage's American conquest has fizzled out into a Pyrrhic victory. Its U.S. headquarters,  Windsome Farm, are being sold and they have gone back to renting the property they started at in 2017, Eagle Tree Farm.

Helgstrand/Global Equestrian Group's take-over of the show circuit Wellington International was short-lived (2022 - 2024) and getting a real foot on the ground as a major sales stable did not goes as planned.

Probably the company's best investment was buying the property Windsome Farm for  $17,450,000 in January 2020. They invested a six-figure amount into renovating the place and after a few years were able to sell half the land for a big profit to an East coast based investor/show jumping family.

That buyer has also expressed interest in purchasing the actual farm although Helgstrand does not confirm that a deal has been signed.

The Danish company stated that it moved back to Eagle Tree Farm as of 15 July 2024.

"Lars Petersen and his wife dressage rider Melissa Taylor have been managing the location since 2022. They will continue and have moved with their team to Eagle Tree Farm, where they will train the many horses already in their care and still serve a broad segment of Helgstrand’s American clients," said Helgstrand. "USA is an important market for us, and it is essential that we maintain a presence here."

“The sale of Windsome Farm is part of Global Equestrian Group’s new strategy to invest in horses, people, and businesses rather than real estate," said  COO Casper Cassøe Krüth.
