Nikkita Fireblade, the only British-born Trakehner foal presented at the 2024 British Breeding Futurity, scored a prized gold premium award.

Nikkita Fireblade is a 2024 jet black colt sired by AES 4* approved stallion Snowfire St Angelo, LEWB Champion 2022. This colt is out of AES graded Trakehner mare Keatinge Firefly (Elfenstein x Tycoon-Latimer)
The Gold Premium is a fabulous achievement. His final score of 8.275 consisted of very high marks for walk, trot and canter with the judges awarding merit for his outstanding stamp, rhythm, balance and cadence. Especially noteworthy are his excellent vet scores of 8.75 and 9. A typical Trakehner he exudes elegance and lustre, and with his strong Trakehner type is a definite stallion candidate for the future.
Sonata di Luna
In 2022 the KWPN daughter Sonata di Luna (by Snowfire St Angelo x Sanyo-Columbus), a striking piebald with excellent movement, qualified for the Finals of the "Championnat de Dressage France." Equally her type, build, elegance and movement were lauded.
"Snowfire is proving himself as a very sure and worthy sire for dressage and eventing foals in his first international foal crops," said Schwabe. "Despite being available only by frozen semen, his unique combination of old and proven elite bloodlines, his exceptional versatility, and own dressage performance make him a valued sire."
Snowfire St Angelo
Now 7 years old Snowfire is the last fully approved and performance tested son of All Inclusive, who is famously sired by Gribaldi, the no 1 dressage sire in WBFSH ranking for many years, and in the sire and damlines of no less than 11 Olympic contestants this year! All Inclusive himself, successful to Small Tour level before being gelded, has consistently produced excellent young horses in dressage and eventing.
"What makes this stallion so special is his stunning character," said Schwabe. "He has what we once used to appreciate the Trakehner so much for: a solid head, gentle interior and his bombproof personality. He is easy to handle and a joy to ride, willing to learn, and very intelligent."
Schwabe also added, "next to that he has three very good gaits, with elasticity, and a great hindleg, impulsion moving through his entire body. He is already showing a natural talent for piaffe and passage. He also jumps very well, with a good bascule and quick forehand, and has a huge ground-covering canter which makes him such a very good match to jumping and eventing mares."
Snowfire's pedigree is uniquely stamped on top and bottom with a consolidation of exceptional stallions of the Trakehner breed: Gribaldi, Buddenbrock, Sixtus, Münchhausen, Michelangelo, Valerian, Habicht, Totilas as well as elite and state premium mares. This mare dynasty has consistently produced top class foals for dressage and eventing, amongst them a successful international eventer Schneefürst, and this year top selling Trakehner auction foal Schneetempel.
Performance, performance, performance
After a very successful year spent under the saddle with Lisa Arcq at Haras de l’Aube in Belgium, where he qualified with grades of over 80% for the Belgian Championships, Snowfire won the 5 year old LEWB championship with 200 points advance. He was the only purebred Trakehner competing against warmbloods.

Snowfire is now being developed further by his co-owner and rider Melanie Anne Schwabe, under the expert coaching of FEI Grand Prix trainer Guillaume Ducos. He is currently based in Switzerland and his frozen semen is available at depots across Europe and the UK.
Please contact the Haras de St Angelo if you are interested in producing a Snowfire foal. He is an approved Anglo-European Studbook 4*, and Czech Trakehner sire. He is fully licensed German Horse (ZfDP), produces KWPN Registry A and Oldenburg Studbook 1b via single breeding license. He can produce in all WBFSH studbooks that recognise the AES approval.
