Lotus de Sena is an eye-catching cremello approved APSL stallion and Grand Prix dressage prospect.

His pedigree is world famous, his sire is Gentil de Sena who is a Grand Prix horse, Approved APSL buckskin by Zimbro. Dam is approved APSL buckskin Lusitano mare Gatona de Sena, a direct daughter of Toxico. These 2 grandsires are top world producing dressage competition horses and can be found in many pedigrees of Portugal's best!

Lotus is from a top breeding farm in the north of Portugal, Serra Neves, and he's managed by Rafa Bastos, who bred, raised, and loves this horse.

Lotus shows very good power in the piaffe, superb movement with a super walk, size, and of course the most noble character and quiet demeanor. Not at all spooky. He is schooling PSG + piaffe and passage. Does some 2's, full pirouettes, good supple half passes and such.

Lotus is a proven breeding stallion now. His 2020 offspring (his oldest) include 4 tall buckskin stallions and a cremello mare. They're all over 1.65, the mare is 1.63. Big-moving well put together horses, some are now started and going well. The 2021 crop is also tall buckskins, son and daughter, and he just had a 2024 flashy buckskin with white legs, a son.

What we're looking for is a super match for this special horse. We just adore him so much and raised him up for years, and want a great home with someone who can take him to competitions and such, finish training him up to Grand Prix. He's smooth to sit on, fairly easy, just wants a good partner who's confident and ambitious. He will go all the way with the right rider! 

For the second, consecutive year Lotus attended Golega, the world famous Lusitano championships. Once again his excellent temperament and courage stood out as he led a ton of younger horses out to the center of Golega. He is totally bombproof and rock solid in a crazy crowd!
