Isabelle Pinto's Pastor Passed Away

Pastor, the international career launching Grand Prix horse of Isabelle Pinto, has passed away. He was 29 years old. Dressprod posted the news first.

The 1996 born Lusitano was by Altivo PC out of Beata OGC (by Vidago x unregistered). He was bred by Olga and Graziela Cadaval at Casa Cadaval.

The young Lusitano moved to France to be developed by French based Portuguese Carlos Pinto at equestrian center Puy du Fou. 

The horse made its national show debut in France in 2003 at Intermediaire II level and moved up t Grand Prix in February 2004.

Carlos' wife Isabelle took over the ride and premiered him nationally in 2006. 

Their international debut was in 2007 at the CDI Azeitao in Portugal. That year they competed at CDI's in La Mandria, Hickstead, and Saumur. In 2008 they only did one CDI in Stadl Paura and in 2009 they competed at the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera. The CDI in Lipica in June 2009 was their last. The pair scored in the high fifties-low sixties.

In 2006 and 2008 they were 6th at the Franch Grand Prix Championships. In 2009 they were 7th. Their last show, nationally, was in 2010.
