Best of Bonds Best Seller of 2026 Oldenburg Special Edition with Strong Demand and High Prices

The colt Best of Bonds became the best selling foal in the 2026 Oldenburg Special Edition auction on 13 June 2026 which showed a strong demand and resulted in high prices. 

Despite changeable weather the atmosphere at the 15th Oldenburg Special Edition at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta was excellent. Even before the auction began, numerous visitors took the opportunity to mingle over live music and free drinks, before a high-quality collection of foals ensured a thoroughly successful auction evening.

Strong Demand, High Prices

Customers responded to the collection’s quality with strong buying interest and numerous bidding wars. The results speak for themselves: with a sales rate of 96.5 percent, nearly the entire collection found new owners.

The jumping foals impressed across the board and even achieved a 100 percent sales rate. In total, the collection generated sales of 312,000 euros at an average price of 10,759 euros. Eight foals will grow up abroad in the future.

Best of Bonds

Cat. No. 1 Best of Bonds (by Bonds x Vitalis), bred by Katrin Krüger, emerged as the top-priced dressage foal. This athletic son of the Vechta champion stallion Bonds was sold to new buyers for 33,500 euro. With his modern conformation and outstanding movements, he captivated the buyers and confidently led the dressage collection.

Regular customers from the Netherlands secured two top Oldenburg foals, thereby underscoring their continued strong confidence in Oldenburg breeding. Moving to the Netherlands are Falcon K (by Federer x Foundation) for 20,500 euro and Dua Lipa (by Dynamic Pur x Sandro Hit) for 8,500 euro

The second most expensive dressage foal was Prouden (by Proud James x  Fursten-Look) which sold for 28,000 euro. 

Foreign Interest

An Austrian client bought filly Leonora (by Lord Europe x Sandro Hit) for 25,500 euro.  A local bidder purchased filly Evita (by Escanto Ps x Santo Domingo) for 21,000 euro.

Belgians bought jumper foal Casaltina (by Casallxo x Conthargos) for 11,500 euro.

Monet KG (by Debutant PS x Morricone) went for 11,000 euro, while filly Evita Bella (by Escaneno x Don Olymbrio L) sold for 10,000 euro.

Italians purchased Villamoura (by Va Bene x Dynamic Dream) for 7,500 euro, while Viva Vio (by Vivamor x Imposantos) moved into Ukrainian ownership for 6,000 euro.

Affirmation

The outstanding quality of the collection, the brisk demand from the first to the last lot, and the enthusiastic bidders ensured an excellent auction result. The 15th Oldenburg Special Edition once again confirmed the appeal of Oldenburg and OS young stars among customers from Germany and abroad.
