When the Oldenburg Elite Foal Competition Auction premieres on 3 July  2026 as part of the Covalliero Dressage Days CDIO hagen at Hof Kasselmann, international dressage enthusiasts can look forward to a collection that combines athletic potential and breeding quality at the highest level.

The selected young prospects come from proven performance lines and carry on the genetics of successful sport horses and top sires.

Highlights

The Swedish championship stallion and multi-award-winning top sire Dante Weltino OLD is sending a particularly noble and long-legged representative to the auction: Dark Legend (catalog number 3), by El.H. Dante Weltino out of Rudimira by Sir Donnerhall I–Donnerschwee–Welt As, bred by ZG Huslage/Schmidt, Essen. Born on April 17, 2026, this colt combines his sire’s proven performance genetics with a dam line that has been producing horses for international elite competition for decades. His full sister, Gut Wettlkam’s Raffinesse, has won Grand Prix competitions under Lisa Müller. His dam, Rudimira, is also a sister to the licensed stallion Showdancer, who was successful up to the Intermediaire I level. The storied Rulli-Rudilore line is one of the most significant dressage families of all time and has produced numerous top international competitors, including the Grand Prix winners Horizon, Glock’s Romanov, Rubin Action OLD, and Rubin Royal OLD. The U.S. champion Ravenna also hails from this successful line.

Another highlight of the collection is catalog number 10, Veilchen, by Viva Vitalis out of OLHPrSt. Face to Face by Fahrenheit-De Niro-Weltmeyer, bred by Andrea Cordes, Kluse—a daughter with strong conformation by the reigning Bundeschampion of six-year-old dressage horses, Viva Vitalis. Born on April 24, 2026, the mare impresses with her elegance, harmonious conformation, and three outstanding basic gaits. With her charisma and effortless movement, she embodies the modern dressage type in a special way. On her dam’s side, Veilchen comes from a highly promising performance line that combines proven dressage success with modern genetics in her pedigree, raising the highest expectations for both competition and breeding. Her dam, Face to Face, is a sister to several successful competition and auction horses. These include, among others, Forty Seven—who competed successfully at the Prix St. Georges level and was once the top-priced foal at auction—as well as Santina Soliman de Hus and Red Labeled Johnnie Walker by Romanov Blue Hors, both of whom were successful in S-level dressage. The granddam, Despina, consistently carries on the competitive tradition. She is a sister to the licensed stallion Self Made by Sandro Hit and to Lully by Likoto xx, who was successful up to Grand Prix level.
