Heidi Humphries of Zen Elite equestrian has welcomed Bohemian's clone "Rhapsody" to the farm in Wellington, Florida.
Bohemian is a 16-year old Westfalian gelding by Bordeaux out of Sunshine (by Samarant x Foxiland xx x Maraschino). He is bred by Heinrich Langewellpott in Germany.
Under Cathrine Dufour the liver chestnut finished fourth at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and got a double silver at the 2021 European Championships. He sold to Korean Dong Seon Kim, who competed him for a few months, before re-selling him to Humphries in December 2023 as a Paris Olympic hopeful for Endel Ots (USA). The pair became Olympic team reserves for the 2024 Olympics.
Shortly after Bohemian's arrival in the USA Heidi started the process of cloning Bohemian. On 14 September 2026 Zen Elite confirmed that the process succeeded and welcomed clone Rhapsody to the farm.
"Bohemian has already given us more than we ever could have dreamed, and the best part is, there is still so much ahead for him. Bo is happy, healthy, and thriving," Zen Elite stated. "But now, there’s a new little face in the barn who might look very familiar. Meet Rhapsody, Bohemian’s clone."
Heidi explained that, "Rhapsody was cloned using cells from Bo and shares essentially the same nuclear DNA, but he isn’t here to replace Bo. He’ll have his own personality, his own experiences, and his own path. And we can’t wait to discover all the ways he may be like Bo, too."
She continued, "for now, we’re simply enjoying having these two very special boys side by side. Our Bo continues to amaze us, while our little colt’s journey is just beginning. Rhapsody may have his own path and his own story, but our hope is that through him, Bo’s incredible legacy will continue to live on for generations to come."
