Fall is arriving at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta—and with it comes an auction weekend dedicated entirely to exceptional horses. On October 3, 2026, the Oldenburg Horse Breeders’ Association invites you to the 106th Fall Elite Auction.
Around 30 select riding horses and 46 foals make up a diverse collection of the highest caliber. The lots include talented young horses as well as partners with established competitive experience. Dressage and show jumping horses at various stages of training and with promising prospects offer a wide selection for ambitious riders, competitive stables, and breeders. Those who would like to get to know their favorites in person—not just through the catalog—can try out the riding horses at the Oldenburg Horse Center in Vechta starting September 23, by prior telephone appointment.
Pure Fascination—a Family Full of Top-Class Horses
Cat. No. 1 is Faszination Pur (born March 4, 2022), by Bonds out of the Elite/Premium Mare Faszination by Diamond Hit—a full sister to the acclaimed 2025 Oldenburg Champion Stallion Barnsley, an Oldenburg Premium Mare, and a participant in the Elite Mare Show in Höven. - Florencio I - Santander H, bred and owned by Hans and Britta Scherbring GbR, Visbek, takes the auction ring as the first highlight. Her dam, Faszination, paraded in the Brillantring at Rastede in 2012 and has already produced three offspring successful in advanced-level competition: Fleetwood Mac and Florenz il Mio, both by Fürst Romancier, as well as Galleria’s Summerville OLD, by Sezuan. Her granddam is also the sister of three dressage horses successful at the S-level. Her great-grandmother, the Elite and Association Premium mare Francesca, produced no fewer than four Grand Prix horses when paired with Diamond Hit.
Moriano – Approved, Victorious, and with a Strong Pedigree
Catalog number 4, the approved Moriano, born April 10, 2022, by Morricone I out of the Elite mare Taviata-Supera by Sir Donnerhall I – Rohdiamant – Feiner Stern, breeder: Daniela Schanze, Stelle; sold by Oldenburger Pferde-Vermarktungs GmbH, Vechta—has already won riding horse competitions and is thus well-suited for both competition and breeding. His dam is the sister of Fiomena M by Fürst Fugger, who was successful in Prix St. Georges under Carina Scholz, as well as of His Royality M by His Highness.
Top Gun – with excellent prospects for competition
Catalog number 7, Top Gun, born March 23, 2021, by Total Hope out of St.Pr.St. Kiara Jones by Johnson – Wolkentanz II – Don Primero, breeder: Hugo Schmidgall, Wüstenrot; breeder: Janina Pischinger, Neudenau, has already achieved top placings in Class A dressage competitions. The half-brother of the highly successful Forte Village, by Feinrich, possesses great quality and thus has the best prerequisites to follow in the footsteps of his successful brother. The full brother of the dam is the licensed Jack Sparrow S. Furthermore, his granddam produced the S-level successful Fields of Gold by Florestan I and Defcon by Don Juan de Hus.
Foals, Competition, and Auction Fever
The 46 foals in the collection also hold promising prospects for competition and breeding. With sought-after bloodlines, the Fall Elite Auction offers the last opportunity of the year to secure a select young Oldenburg star on the auction stage in Vechta. Pre-bidding begins as early as September 30, allowing interested parties to place bids online even before auction day.
The event kicks off on Saturday, October 3, at 11:00 a.m. with the live presentation of the foals. Sports take center stage immediately afterward: Starting at 12:30 p.m., the qualified rider-horse pairs will compete in the finals of the OLD Masters powered by DERBY. Starting at 4:00 p.m., the highlight of the day—the 106th Fall Elite Auction—is on the program.
The evening concludes with the traditional Championship Fete. Thus, German Unity Day in Vechta brings together top-class sport, select auction horses and foals, breeding, and the special atmosphere of the Oldenburg horse community.
