The licensed and performance tested Westfalian stallion Excalibur of Avalon was the price highlight of the Munster Elite Auction of April 23, 2006, in Munster, Germany. The bay stallion sold for 300,000 euro to international dressage rider Tinne Vilhelmson of Sweden.
The 4-year old stallion, who is by Ehrentanz x Mon Cheri and bred by Günter Voss, was the winner of the 30-day performance test of November 2005.
The second most expensive horse was Ein Ehrenmann, a 4-year old bay stallion by Ehrentusch x Eiger I. Bred by Peter and Susanne Wolter, and presented by Werner Beckmann, this stallion sold for 180,000 euro.
Third most expensive horse was Forever, a 3-year old chestnut stallion by Furst Piccolo x Ehrentusch. He sold for 107,000 euro. Both horses sold to the Bavaria area in Germany.
Most expensive foal was Consensus, a Cornet Obolensky x Liberty Life colt which is bred by Willi Voges. The bay colt sold for 38,000 euro.
Forty-four sport horses was auctioned at the Munster Elite auction and they achieved an average price of 34,659 euro.
