Jade Passed Away

Former Belgian WEG Team horse Jade died on Tuesday morning September 18, 2007. The Russian Trakehner was rushed to the equine clinic on Sunday evening after the CDI Herentals but could not be saved and the horse was humanely put down on Tuesday evening.

The cause of death is so far unknown.

In April 2007, Jade sold to by the British Joanne Grace, who owns Stable Wittenberg in Herentals and who just hosted two CDI's at her stable in September.

Under Belgian Grand Prix rider Mieke Lunskens, Jade was member of the Belgian team that competed at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen. The 16-year old Trakehner gelding by Ressort x Linxo was previously owned by the Japanese Reiko Newton who sold the bay to Grace.

Mieke Lunskens and Jade won gold at the 2004 Belgian Dressage Championships and silver at the 2005 Belgian Dressage Championships. The were member of the Belgian team at the 2005 European Dressage Championships in Hagen.
