The 5-year old grey Westfalian gelding Lennox Luis became the price highlight of the 2009 Spring Elite Auction of Westfalian sport horses in Munster, Germany, on April 5, 2009.
Bred by Heinrich Sterthoff and presented by Corinna Cznotka, the show jumping bred Lennox Luis is by Lissabon out of an Athlet Z x Cantus dam. He sold for 82,000 euro.
The second most expensive horse was the 4-year old chestnut stallion Belmondo (by Belissimo M x Weltmeyer). Bred and presented by Hermann Ostermann, this flashy stallion sold for 65,000 euro.
Three horses sold for 55,000 euro. Matthieu Beckmann sold his 5-year old licensed stallion Biasini (by Belissimo M x Argentinus) for this price. The same knockdown price was achieved by the 3-year old Westfalian gelding Simply Black (by Stedinger x Fidermark, bred in The Netherlands and presented at auction by Susanna Limbecker) and the 4-year old dark bay stallion Sternenfänger (by Show Star x Florestan).
The best spelling dressage pony was Champ of Class, a 5-year old chestnut gelding by Champion de Luxe x Dornik B. Bred by Heinz Baumanns and presented by Herbert Werth, this gelding sold for 11,000 euro. The top priced foal was the show jumping colt Cornet's Pleasure (by Cornet Obolensky x For Pleasure). He sold for 10,000 euro.
Fifty-two sport horses sold at auction and they achieved an average price of 25,244 euro.
