Swedish multiple championship team rider Louise Nathhorst and her sponsor of nine years, Celia Blakey have gone separate ways. Nathhorst and Blakey started their co-operation in 2000 when they met through a mutual contact. The British Blakey has now taken home to England three horses which she owned and were trained and competed by Nathhorst.
Blakey owned the Latvian bred Grand Prix horse Visums (by Vagner x Dolars) which she bought in Austria. Visums is a 13-year old gelding and he finished third at this year's Swedish Grand Prix Championship.
The other two horses are the 14-year old Holsteiner Leonardo (by Lord Calypso x Calando) and the 8-year old Fritzchen (by Friedensfurst x Sandro) which Blakey bought in Germany in 2007 and which is Prix St Georges ready.
The Kent based Celia Blakey is the founder of the Blakey Charitable Trust, which invests money in cancer and dyslexia research as well as donates prizes to musical competitions.
