Blue Hors Romanov and Fürst Nymphenburg sired the champion foals at the German Foal Selection Show hosted at Breeding Station Klatte in Lastrup, Germany, on Sunday 3 July 2011. This show was judged by Dr. Evelin Schlotmann, Karl-Heinz Auffarth and Dieter Mehrens.
A huge selection of foals, 19 in total, out of 50 presented riding horse foals were selected to go to the 2011 German Foal Championships held in Lienen, Germany, in July.
The winning colt in Lastrup was a dark bay Furst Nymphenburg colt out of State premium mare Design-RA (by Donnerhall), bred by Hans-hermann Rabeler, this colt outclassed the runner up, who is by Destano x Dimaggio. Kirsten Schwenzer's Rosengold x Furst Heinrich colt tied on second place.
The highest scoring filly was by Blue Hors Romanov x Florencio, bred by Wilhelm Middelbeck. Martin Herzog's Deperados x Rubin Royal filly finished in second place, while Raimund Vorwerk's Christ x Rotspon filly (owned by Philipp Genn) finished third.
