The chestnut mare Dependance (by Detroit x Donnerschwee x Ahorn) became the price highlight at the 2014 Oldenburg Autumn Elite Auction in Vechta, Germany, on Saturday 4 October 2014.
Danish young rider team member Anna Zibrandtsen, who trains with Jan Brink in Sweden and owns Dependance' sire Detrot, has acquired the mare for 150,000 euro.
The second most expensive horse in the auction was the mare Preziosa (by Pik Noir x Lauries Crusador xx) which sold for 116,000 euro to a German client.
Dutch clients bought Painted Top (by Painted Black x Sandro Hit) for 95,000 euro.
Americans invested in several horses, including Hello Kitty (by Hofrat x Weltmeyer) for 90,000 euro, Rosenschon (by Sir Donnerhall I x Pik Labionics) sold to Endel Ots for 71,000 euro, and Borax (by Bordeaux x Rohdiamant) for 55,000 euro. Austrians purchased Calla (by Rock Forever x Furst Heinrich) for 81,000 euro.
The licensed stallion Torriani (by Temptation x Natiello xx x Bolero) sold for 110,000 to Sonja Bolz. The best selling show jumper was Lolli Bolli (by Lord Pezi x Landsieger) which moves to Switzerland for 100,000 euro.
The Autumn auction in Vechta also featured a collection of foals. The black colt For My Love (by For Romance x San Amour x Dream of Love) sold to a German customer for 80,000 euro. Spanish clients acquired Belo Horizonte (by Bordeaux x Quattro B x Grandeur) for 45,000 euro.
Monaco based German Grand Prix rider Bernadette Brune took three foals home: San Diego (by San Amour x De Niro x Camelot) for 30,000 euro, Let's Stepp (by Grey Flannell x Stedinger) for 22,000 euro, Doubliertanz (by Diamond Hit x Fidertanz) for 9,750. A Ukrainian client bought Sentenz (by Sezuan x Ampere x Rubin Royal) for 25,000 euro. An American customer paid 16,000 euro for Toccata (by Furst Romancier x Stedinger). A Belgian client paid 13,000 euro for Django (by De Niro x Tango x Krack C).
The average price for a sport horse was 43,868 euro, the average price for a foal was 14,867 euro.
