Cedane C, Top Seller at 2015 Hanoverian March Auction

The show jumper Cedane C (by Cornado I x Florestan) became the top selling horse at the 2015 Hanoverian March Auction in Verden, Germany, on Sunday 29 March 2015. He sold for 72,000 euro.

The second most expensive horse was Bourbon (by Bonifatius x Don Vino) which was acquired by Wolfgang Schmitz-Heinen for 62,000 euro.

The 5-year old Dormello (by Dancier x Weltmeyer) sold abroad for 46,000 euro. Two horses achieved a knock down price of 35,000 euro: Fiorentina (by Florescount x Londonderry) and Valcetto OT (by Valentino x Concetto).

The strong dollar had its effect as no less than 13 horses sold to the U.S.A.

A collection of 70 riding horses in total were offered for sale. For the first time the Hanoverian Verband offered a more diverse collection up for auction; from high quality youngsters to reliable partners for ambitious pleasure riders.

The auction also featured some early born foals, which sold at an average price of 7,595 euro. The best seller was Frenchtown (by Finest x Diamond Hit). This colt sold for 64,000 euro to Austria. The rumoured buyer is Jerich. The second most expensive foal was Lutz (by Livaldon x Dancier), which sold for 17,000 euro. The filly Eclipse (by Escolar x Desperados) sold for 12,000 euro.

The average price for a riding horse at this auction. was 18,329 euro.
