Olympians Tineke Bartels (4 Olympic Games) and Imke Schellekens-Bartels (2 Olympic Games) are based at Academy Bartels in the south of Holland. Every year a few hundred riders and horses, from Grand Prix to recreational riders, are participating in a so called ‘training week’ at the Academy. This is your chance to sign up for a training week and learning from Olympic experienced riders.
The riders stay in one of the well-equipped hotel rooms, their horses in the luxurious Academy stables. Apart from the daily lessons by Tineke, Imke or Mischa Koot, different workshops are presented. Sport psychologist Sanne Beijerman and physiotherapist Saskia Heijkants (flex chair and sit training) are among the different top experts, who are involved.
Olympic judges Wim Ernes and Frances Verbeek are involved in the competition training weeks, which focus on optimisation of competition results on all different levels. Lessons and workshops are in the English or Dutch language.
Take the unique chance to follow trainingsessions of the Academy riders. For groups of three riders or more, other translations are possible.
