The 2016 March Auction of Sport Horses and Foals in Verden on 26 March 2016 kicks off with the exciting catalog number one, the 4-year old Belaggio (by Belissimo M x Ehrentanz x Florestan). This stunning bay gelding, who is a premier league dressage horse, is the first horse in a collection of 92 sport horses for the auction which is complemented by an attractive selection of foals.
Belaggio is bred and owned by Gestut Hülsdau. The bay gelding is born on 23 March 2012 and stands 1.68m tall. He is exquisitely bred out of the sam dam line as 2013 World Young Horse Champion Scara Boa, the American licensed stallion Let's Dance HU (by Lord of Dancing) and the S-level competed Ferdinand F (by Florestan). His half brother Fascino (by Fiorano) was approved as a licensed breeding stallion at the 2011 Hanoverian Stallion Licensing. Belaggio is also out of the same line as licensed stallions Instertanz V (by Insterburg), and Wandervogel I, II, III and IV.
Belaggio has already proven his worth, talent and rideability at competitions. He won the qualification of the Hanoverian Riding Horse Championship in Verden in August 2015. He qualified as alternate for the 2015 Bundeschampionate in Warendorf.
